Monza
Wow! An old Chevrolet Monza. This car has to be worth a fortune as a collectors item as the Monza was one of the finest cars ever made in America in the true spirit of style and reliability.

Self Portrait
Here I am taking a self portrait of myself in a mirror (actually my stepson Kevin)
One more night of work for me tonight then I'm off to North Carolina tomorrow.

Mamiya
This is my new (old) Mamiya RB67 Pro SD medium format camera. I used to dream of having a Hasselblad or Mamiya but could never afford the thousands of dollars these cost 20 years ago. Thanks to digital and the popular demise of film I was able to pick this up on EBay for $250.00. I will be developing the negatives myself (black and white only, color will be sent out) just like I used to years ago. Only difference now is that I will scan the negatives for a digital workflow. Fun, fun!

Mongo
Here is an absolutely gorgeous pic from my online friend Mongo's website. Be sure to visit his site HERE. He has a live webcam of the ocean there which is great to watch to lower your blood pressure a few points. I hope he doesn't mind me posting the picture but this pic is where I wish I was today to get away from this heat. He lives on the coast in Bandon, Oregon, one of the most picturesque areas of the West Coast.
Best Sandwiches Anywhere
I really think Schlotzsky's has the best sandwiches anywhere. It must be the sourdough bread or something but they sure are good. This was taken at one of the airports I was in a few days ago. No pictures taken today. We had a record high of 99 degrees today and that is hot in this humid concrete jungle of Baltimore, especially with no wind.
Lonely Tonight
You are the night and day,
the heaven and the seas for me.
The time I'm with you
confirms exactly what I would have said.
Every acquaintance, every friend, every person
who has a place in your heart...
It is the time with them
that really means something.
Nothing else matters.

Makin' Coffee
Trying out a new way to make good coffee using a Chemex flask. First you weigh the coffee beans and use about 2 grams of coffee beans for each ounce of water. Works out to about 1 cup of beans to 3 cups of water. Then you grind the beans. Only takes about 3 minutes to hand grind the beans. Put the grounds in the cone filter in the top of the Chemex. Pour a little hot water over the grounds just enough to wet them and watch them swell for about 30 seconds then slowly pour the rest of the hot water over the grounds as the water trickles through. Makes great coffee and it was real easy, even as a first try. Kind of fun grinding your own beans too.

Fuji X100
Well, I tried out the Fuji X100 but just couldn't quite fall in love with it (but it was close). The two main reasons I decided to sell it over my existing Olympus E-PL2? For me the lack of image stabilization is the main negative and of course the inability to change lenses is the second negative. In comparisons between the two at slower shutter speeds (around 1/30 to 1/60) I was consistently getting sharper pictures with my Olympus. The fixed lens I could live with but I have grown to love image stabilization. It truly adds a couple of stops to your low end for usable pics. If this was a micro four thirds body with image stabilization I would be in heaven and would never have to buy another camera again:o)

Pinhole
This is a picture that I took yesterday of my dog Missy down in North Carolina (back in Baltimore now). This was taken without a lens on the camera. I just used a piece of plastic with a hole in it for a lens.

Dillinger
This is John Dillinger's actual car, a 1933 Essex Terraplane, as seen at Baltimore Washington International Airport this morning. It's a gorgeous car that I would love to be driving.

Live for Today
This was the old Palmer House Restaurant at 100 N. Eutaw St. in downtown Baltimore. It was a hotbed of activity for 50 years with politicians, reporters and the theater crowd. Now just one of the many boarded up abandoned buildings which are everywhere.
