Waiting Lot
Just sitting in the airport waiting lot watching the pouring rain and waiting on a rain delayed flight.

Shortcut
Taking a shortcut to work through a little alley. Helps me to avoid the bums hitting me up for money at every corner.

Groundhog Day
Just got back to Baltimore to do the work thing all over again. I miss my country home already. Biggest thing that happened down there for the week was a tree falling across the highway in a storm. It was the talk of the county:o) Here it would be a non-event. Only murders, stabbings and shootings get anybody interested. (photo taken driving in today then I played with a charcoal conversion in Lightroom.)

Stormy Weather
Big thunderstorm moved through here a while ago and it was wild for a while. Heavy rain and lightning. Lightning hit just across the highway from our home taking down a tree and some utility lines. Highway is still closed which is upsetting some folks as it is about a 30 mile detour to go around to get back to the other side of the blocked road. The second picture was of the sky after the storm passed with the setting sun shining on the clouds. Very pretty.

Monza
Wow! An old Chevrolet Monza. This car has to be worth a fortune as a collectors item as the Monza was one of the finest cars ever made in America in the true spirit of style and reliability.

Local (near Oriental, NC) junk yard that sells useful stuff like broken washing machines, cars that don't run and general discarded items that need a home.

Self Portrait
Here I am taking a self portrait of myself in a mirror (actually my stepson Kevin)
One more night of work for me tonight then I'm off to North Carolina tomorrow.

Mamiya
This is my new (old) Mamiya RB67 Pro SD medium format camera. I used to dream of having a Hasselblad or Mamiya but could never afford the thousands of dollars these cost 20 years ago. Thanks to digital and the popular demise of film I was able to pick this up on EBay for $250.00. I will be developing the negatives myself (black and white only, color will be sent out) just like I used to years ago. Only difference now is that I will scan the negatives for a digital workflow. Fun, fun!

Mongo
Here is an absolutely gorgeous pic from my online friend Mongo's website. Be sure to visit his site HERE. He has a live webcam of the ocean there which is great to watch to lower your blood pressure a few points. I hope he doesn't mind me posting the picture but this pic is where I wish I was today to get away from this heat. He lives on the coast in Bandon, Oregon, one of the most picturesque areas of the West Coast.
Best Sandwiches Anywhere
I really think Schlotzsky's has the best sandwiches anywhere. It must be the sourdough bread or something but they sure are good. This was taken at one of the airports I was in a few days ago. No pictures taken today. We had a record high of 99 degrees today and that is hot in this humid concrete jungle of Baltimore, especially with no wind.
Lonely Tonight
You are the night and day,
the heaven and the seas for me.
The time I'm with you
confirms exactly what I would have said.
Every acquaintance, every friend, every person
who has a place in your heart...
It is the time with them
that really means something.
Nothing else matters.
