My claim to fame back when I was a photojournalist.  The last 4 shots on my camera were of this balloon crash at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.  The 3rd shot was picked up by the Associated Press.

Cold

God, it's cold today.  Around 10 degrees F (-12C for my overseas friends) this morning and with the wind blowing it felt like 50 below.  Made my 5 block walk home from work miserable.

Snow Again

Just found out that my second Mom and one of the most wonderful people that I have ever known has advanced stage lung cancer.  Makes for a very sad day.   This pic was taken in late 2003 as I swung through Oklahoma City on a bike trip.

Submarine

Cold and Wet

It's been a cold, wet, blustery day here in North Carolina.  I've been here for 4 days now and this is the first picture I have taken.  Haven't been in the picture taking mood lately.  This dark, dreary and cold time of year doesn't stir too much in the way of 'creative juices' in me.  Driving back to Baltimore in the morning and hoping that the winter weather advisory for that area tonight and tomorrow doesn't slow me down but it will probably be a 12 hour drive instead of the usual 6.  We'll see.  (follow-up:  weather was fine, only a little ice but I made it in 6 hours which is great)
